ABLE Christian School is approved to enroll students who receive funding through the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship (GSNS), commonly known as the SB10 Scholarship. Families are encouraged to visit the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship website for detailed information regarding eligibility requirements and program guidelines.
Parents of students receiving GSNS funds must notify ABLE Christian School during the admissions and enrollment process. A copy of the student's GSNS Scholarship Calculation Sheet, printed from the GSNS website, must be submitted to the Finance Office (Sandra Elder) prior to enrollment.
ABLE Christian School will report all eligible GSNS students to the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) to facilitate the receipt of scholarship funds. The GSNS award will be applied toward the student's tuition and approved fees. Any remaining balance will be established in the FACTS Tuition Management System and billed according to the family's selected payment plan.
GSNS funds are intended solely to offset tuition and approved fees charged by a participating private school. If the total tuition and fees exceed the scholarship award, the parent or guardian is responsible for paying the remaining balance. If the tuition and fees are less than the scholarship award, only the amount owed will be paid to the school, and any unused funds will revert to the State of Georgia.
Scholarship payments are issued directly to ABLE Christian School by the State of Georgia in quarterly installments. When scholarship checks are received, ABLE will notify parents or guardians so they may visit the school and endorse the checks. In accordance with GSNS requirements, parents must endorse scholarship checks to the school within thirty (30) days of receiving notification from ABLE Christian School.
